The Neverland Healed

As I write this, I’m enjoying a family vacation on Sanibel Island in Florida. It’s truly the land of magic and mermaids! It’s a bit like the Neverland, healed of its Curse, full of natural abundance, infinite variety.

To get a flavor of this magical place, visit MermaidSand.com, and consider ordering the book Now I Wish Upon a Pearl. I gave it to my sister-in-law and her girls for Christmas, complete with the mermaid jewelry, and you should see the great thank you cards they made for me! (Given in person! Such fun…)

I got my first “fan letter” this week! OK, it was an e-mail, but it still made my week. Rae Lynn received of one of the pre-published copies of the book I sold at the Sequim Soroptomist Gift Gala. Her note is short and sweet, and a solid good review in my book!

My Grandma gave me this book for Christmas.  I loved how adventurous and creative it was.  I enjoyed how you incorporated all of the original Peter Pan characters. I am looking forward to book 2!”   Rae Douglas

This week’s audio excerpt is Chapter 5. Pip arrives in the Neverland and receives the amazing (and not necessarily welcome) news that she is Peter Pan’s granddaughter. It’s an example of how our dreams may not fit the way we expect them to when they finally come true.  (Granted, finally reaching the Neverland is only a part of Pip’s dream).

Set aside about 15 minutes of listening time for this excerpt. Enjoy!
