In writing, like in any journey, there’s always another challenge coming down the pike. Which makes it extra important to celebrate the wins. I’ve got one tonight I just had to share:
It’s here! The Curse of the Neverland, (second edition) is now available in paperback on Amazon! Click […]
Calling a book “fantasy” often evokes in the mind of the listener something like The Hobbit, Watership Down, The Dragons of Pern, or Star Wars—imaginary worlds populated with non-humans who have heroic adventures that may or may not be human-like. For some people, that’s a real turn-off. They prefer gritty reality.
The truth is, “fantasy” […]
Last week I wrote to you about how reading aloud to those you love makes them feel special. As feeling special is a universal dream, it’s a simple way to “make it so.”
Another universal dream is to have our very own adventure—one where we do brave things and make a difference. The fantasy […]
Do you love Westerns?

Thought I’d give you the down and dirty truth of a writer at work. Nothing glamorous, sexy, or cool. Usually quite comfortable, however, and definitely consuming, challenging, and often entertaining (from the inside, not from the outside!)
My favorite place to work is sitting on my bed with my laptop on my lap. […]
I was reminded, this past Friday, of what a treasure it is to have opportunities to nurture your creativity. It’s important to seek these opportunities out.
I had the pleasure of speaking on an author panel during an incredible day-long event called “Clallam County Comic Con,” at the main branch of my county library system.

Last week I printed out the first draft of book 2. I scheduled Thursday as the day to do my first read-through.
