This is an exciting week, full of author fun for me. Hope you can join me at one or more of these:
All Week: May 4-9, downtown Sequim
Finding Fairies Treasure Hunt. You can start at any one of the 6 participating businesses in downtown Sequim: Hart’s Fine Books, That Takes the Cake, Dungeness Kids, Rainshadow Coffee, Doodle Bugs, and Lucky Star Consignment Clothing. Find all the fairies, and turn in your sheet at Hart’s Fine Books to claim your prizes and have your name included in the drawing to win one of the beautiful fairy figurines shown below. Open to all ages. First 24 finishers get a free National Children’s Book Week poster!
Tuesday, May 5, 3pm at Greywolf Elementary School
Visiting author to the AIM High, Reach for the Stars Book Club at Greywolf Elementary School. Eleven girls and their Soroptomist mentors have been reading The Curse of the Neverland. Can’t wait to meet and talk with them!
Wednesday, May 6, 4pm on the radio
I’ll be the featured guest on local radio KSQM 91.5, in honor of National Children’s Book Week. I expect an interview, and hope to read a bit from my book.
Saturday, May 9, 1-3pm, following the Irrigation Festival Parade at Hart’s Fine Books in Sequim
Come meet Piper Pan herself (and her creator)! Alexi Rampp-Taft, the book’s cover model, will be there in costume, ready and willing to meet her fans. Pick up your sheets for the take-home coloring contest. I’ll do brief author readings at 1:30 and 2:30pm. It’s also the last day to turn in your “Finding Fairies Treasure Hunt” sheet to claim your prizes.
Come as a fairy or a pirate for fun and to get 20% off my book!
