Author Appearance

For those of you who are nearby, a heads up that I will be making my first author appearance at the upcoming Soroptomist Gift Gala on Saturday, December 10, 9am-3pm, sharing a table with my publisher Kelly Lenihan (author of picture books The Skipping Stone and Goober & Muffin). We’ll have books for sale to be autographed as you please, and we’ll be taking entries for a prize drawing—you might win lunch with the authors at Nourish Restaurant in Sequim! Good food, good company, and the chance to talk about what it takes to make your dream a reality. What could be better? Oh, the Gala takes place at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W Fir St.

Confused about how it is I have copies of the book to sell when it isn’t due out until March 12, 2015? Don’t worry, I’m confused too. Suffice it to say it’s through the generosity of Kelly; she really went to bat for me. It’s a limited number of copies, and it gives me a chance to see what it’s like to be an author out there signing my books.

My goal is to actually have fun—to not be too focused on the fact that my knees are knocking! The truth is that sharing a table with Kelly makes it easy—she has done a huge amount of work to organize us in advance, and I’m more than grateful.
